DIY Cake Topper

Bakers twine, paper straws, and washi tape, what could be better? I was so excited when my paper straws came in the mail that I immediately started stirring up ideas in my head. I have been seeing cake toppers using those straws and thought it was a good idea so I made one!

Supplies: bakers twine, washi tape, paper straws.

I started by cutting a long piece of bakers twine and tied it around the paper straws so it made three rows.

I then cut a fairly long piece of washi tape. As you put it on the twine it'll be folded in half so I made it pretty long.
Ta-da! Easy peasy! After I folded the washi  tape onto the twine I cut a triangle at the bottom so it looked more like bunting.
